Mom Maps 4.6

Back in the day when I did not have an iPhone, I would meet up with friends and then we would waste a lot of time thinking where we want to go and have some fun. That came to an end when the iPhone came into my life and offered a handy way to search for locations where to have fun – and share those locations with my friends.

Some day I’ll have a child and I am going to want to spend quality time with him. And can you guess what I’m going to do then? I am going to use the iPhone and an app to find kid-friendly places to take my child. And more to the point, I am going to use the New Media Parents-developed app Mom Maps.

Thanks to this user friendly app you can easily and rapidly find fun, kid-friendly places – like parks, playgrounds, indoor play areas, restaurants, and museums.

The app covers a lot of cities: San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Chicago, New York City, Washington DC Orange County, Hawaii, Albuquerque, Salt Lake City, Boise, Cincinnati, St. Louis, Milwaukee, Philadelphia, Dallas, New Orleans, Raleigh, Jacksonville, Charlotte, Boston, Atlanta, Phoenix, Denver, Vancouver, Canada, Paris (France), and Montreal (Canada). There are in all more than 28,000 locations. And for each location you can view reviews written by other parents, you can get directions on how to get to that location, and you can view contact information so you can call ahead and let them know you are coming.

The Mom Maps app is offered free of charge, which to my mind is great. If you have money and it’s burning a hole in your pocket, why not spend it doing something fun with your child? That’s what I would do.

To sum it up, Mom Maps is an easy to use, free app that displays kid-friendly spots based on your location. You can easily and rapidly find fun places where you can go with your child.
